My appologies. But the Founder, Sena and I have moved on to other things, That and RL has been nibbling away at our lives.

Thing is, it would be very sad to completely close down the group all together.

so as of this moment this community is on indefinite hiatus.

the member's lists will not be updated and no new submissions will be added.

LOTR Movie/ Book Scene Contest

ok.. Its been a while since this contest was first annouced and the details have ben confirmed.

But just to remind one and all..
First Prize
-Choice of either the FOTR: Extended Edition VCDs or the TTT VCDs. The prizes are sponsored by Yours truly and Postage hopefully sponsored by Kyon. They will be Brandnew, bought when the winner is announced and the VCDs of choice sent to said winner.

O.o I kid you not. Hence said, contest will be played under strict rules as there can only be ONE winner.

OK here are the details:

Express your favourite scene from the LOTR books or Movies. Any type of medium can be used, as long as it can be posted here.

Submission criteria:
- Artwork or Written work are accepted.
- Only ONE submission per person
- This is a MIDDLE-EARTH MEMBERS ONLY contest

To enter your piece to the contest, your work must be loaded to your own account.
To submit, NOTE middle-earth directly, stating clearly in the TITLE, "For M-E Contest". In the note, state the name of your piece of entry and of course the link to your work of art.. ^_^

*IMPORTANT Links place anywhere else will not be considered as entry IMPORTANT*

Judging criteria:
Entries will be judged on expression of feeling, and mood. Creative use of medium, art, written, digital, etc


DATELINE FOR SUBMISSION

OCTOBER 11TH 2003

Middle-Earth has collections that are non-competitive.
These collections are theme-based. The pieces will be put into a deviant-pack and displayed on the community page.

Current Collection

Ok ... so here's the deal.....
This will be a collection based on the peoples and creatures of Middle-earth.

There's to be 5 catergories.

Humans of Middle-Earth
Elves of Middle-Earth
Creatures of Middle-Earth
Hobbits of Middle-Earth
Dwarves of Middle-Earth

Pretty straight forward, no?.. ^_^...


Criteria

-Form: Any thing that strikes your fancy, writings, fanfiction, pencil sketches, paintings, colourings, .... need i go on?

-Both Book and movie-verse allowed.

-Submitted works must pertain to at least one catergory

-Participants are allowed to submit more than one work


Submission

1. "NOTE" all links DIRECTLY to :middle-earth: (Any links posted anywhere else will NOT be entertained)

2. State clearly in the title of your note :"Submission For Collections"

3. Within the body of your note please state clearly which catergory you want your work to appear in.
